Gezellig is a tiny-but-mighty chef-driven food studio based in Kingston, NY, built around the Dutch idea of “gezelligheid”: that feeling of warmth, ease, and good company that permeates our fondest memories.

We design seasonal, from-scratch menus, handcraft marzipan and Old World sweets, and help restaurants and wine shops fine-tune their hospitality behind the scenes and create events and experiences. Our delights are made with real ingredients and careful hands, and whether it’s a dinner party for twelve or a full beverage program overhaul, everything we do is thoughtful, flexible, and grounded in real-life service, not fussy trends.

I challenged myself the other day, to make a dessert using only ingredients I had in my workshop at the time. I came up with this Pistachio Silk Pie. Scented with Orange Blossom Water, Cardamom and the barest hint of Anise, this decadent pie might be the most expensive I've ever made. PIstachio Cream filling and pistachio crumb topping makes this a must for pistachio-nuts everywhere. Available for Holiday Order.

Our delightful Marzipan is perfect for all seasons. We;re busy right now in the workshop churning out delicious colorful marzipan. These were an experiment, and they turned out wildly delicious. So, cornflake cookies with brown butter, pecans and mini m&ms - next time I'll put some on top. Finished with a little hibiscus salt from my ancestors lands in SW PR, the Salinas in Cabo Rojo. Oh my goodness. I dare you to try to eat just one of these lovely textural, aromatic cookies.
